Missouri’s minimum wage is $15 an hour in 2026, up from $13.75 in 2025, according to the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
For tipped employees, employers must pay at least $7.50 an hour directly. Tips and direct wages together must bring the worker’s total compensation to at least $15 an hour.
The Missouri Department of Labor’s minimum-wage guidance says employers covered by the law must display the state’s wage summary in a conspicuous and accessible place. English and Spanish posters are available from the department.
Some retail or service businesses with annual gross income below $500,000 are exempt from the state minimum-wage requirement. Federal wage law may still apply, however, and the state advises employers to review both sets of rules.
