ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — St. Louis native Danny Meyer will return home this month for a discussion about leadership, business culture and his new memoir as part of the St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Business Author Series.
The restaurateur, bestselling author and founder of Shake Shack will appear at 5 p.m. Saturday, September 26, at the Clark Family Branch, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Meyer will discuss and sign “What Could Possibly Go Right?: The Essential Journey to Scale an Enduring Culture.” The book examines his approach to leadership and the challenges of expanding a hospitality company while maintaining its culture.
Meyer founded Union Square Hospitality Group, whose restaurants have included Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, The Modern, Maialino, Eleven Madison Park and Tabla. The company’s restaurants and professionals have received 28 James Beard Awards, according to the library.
Individual tickets cost $40 and include admission for one and a pre-signed book. A $50 package admits two people and includes one pre-signed copy.
The series is presented with Greater St. Louis, Inc. and the St. Louis Business Journal.
