St. Louis Weather: Near Record Heat and Spotty Storms Possible Thursday

St. Louis is forecast to reach about 96 degrees Thursday, with a chance of an isolated afternoon thunderstorm.

ST. LOUIS — Thursday is expected to bring periods of sunshine and near record heat to the St. Louis area, with a high around 96 degrees and an overnight low near 72.

An isolated thunderstorm could develop during the afternoon, but widespread rain is not expected. Anyone spending extended time outside should drink water, take breaks in the shade or air conditioning and avoid unnecessary strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day.

Forecast conditions can change. Check the National Weather Service in St. Louis for alerts, radar and the latest local forecast before heading out.
