ST. LOUIS — St. Louis CITY SC defeated Toronto FC 3-1 Saturday night at Energizer Park, extending the club’s unbeaten streak to 18 matches across all competitions.
Carlo Holse opened the scoring, Tomas Totland doubled the advantage after halftime and Simon Becher added the third goal in the 68th minute. Toronto scored its only goal during second-half stoppage time.
CITY SC has now scored 15 goals across its last five Major League Soccer matches. The club will travel to face Red Bull New York on Saturday, Sept. 26, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Central.
