ST. LOUIS — A south St. Louis resident says decorations outside a home were damaged over the weekend and is raising concerns about someone reportedly checking parked vehicle doors near Osage Street and Grand Boulevard.
The resident contacted VOTP News STL on Sunday and shared Ring security footage, describing incidents that reportedly took place Saturday night and again Sunday.
According to the resident, porch decorations were damaged Saturday night and additional decorations were damaged Sunday. The resident also reported seeing someone checking car doors in broad daylight.
Ring security video provided by a south St. Louis resident. The footage does not independently establish all of the allegations described.
The recording shared with the newsroom shows an individual near the home’s front porch and walkway. It does not, on its own, establish the reported property damage or that vehicle doors were checked.
The resident said a police report was filed.
VOTP News STL has contacted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to confirm the reported incidents and request information about any investigation or related complaints in the area. Police had not responded as of publication.
We will update this report if additional verified information becomes available.
