ST. LOUIS — Saint Louis University’s women’s soccer team extended its unbeaten run to seven matches with a 2–0 victory over Richmond on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

Ava Rademeyer put the Billikens ahead at 16:32, scoring her second goal of the season with an assist from Caroline Fowlkes. The goal gave SLU a 1–0 lead that it carried into halftime.

Audrey Smith added the second goal at 63:57, with Nina Preusser credited with the assist. It was Smith’s eighth goal of the season, giving the home team a two-goal cushion midway through the second half.

The result improved Saint Louis to 9–2–4 overall and 5–0–2 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. Richmond finished the afternoon at 7–3–5 overall and 2–3–2 in the conference.

SLU controlled the shot totals, producing 14 attempts to Richmond’s two and putting 10 shots on goal. The Billikens also held a 7–1 advantage in corner kicks, according to the official box score.

Goalkeeper Pepper Escher made two saves in the shutout. Richmond’s two goalkeepers combined for eight saves, keeping the final margin at two despite SLU’s sustained advantage in attempts.

The Billikens’ next scheduled match is Thursday, Oct. 22, at La Salle. Kickoff is listed for 6 p.m. Central. Saturday’s result leaves SLU heading into that road game without a conference defeat.
