ARNOLD, Mo. — Gioia’s Deli plans to open a restaurant at 3870 Vogel Road in December, adding a Jefferson County location to the longtime St. Louis sandwich business.
The shop is planned for a former Goodcents Subs storefront, St. Louis Magazine reported October 21. First Alert 4 separately reported the address and December opening plan October 22.
An exact opening day has not been announced. St. Louis Magazine described the target as early December, while the company’s social announcement and subsequent reporting identify December 2026.
Alex and Amanda Donley operate the business, which traces its history to 1918. Its current website lists locations on The Hill, in Valley Park, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights and the WingHaven area of O’Fallon.
The company is known for hot salami sandwiches, and its published menu includes roast beef, Italian-style sandwiches, salads and catering. The Arnold plan extends that existing regional business into another county rather than announcing a restaurant already open for customers.
St. Louis Magazine also reported that a Wentzville location is expected next spring. That remains a separate future project.
Customers planning a visit to the Vogel Road site should wait for a confirmed opening announcement and posted hours. The December target provides a planning window, but it is not a promise that the restaurant will be operating on a particular day.
