ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment is seeking an organization to coordinate workforce-development partners at the city’s Missouri Job Center.
SLATE released a request for quotes November 3 for a One-Stop Operator. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. November 30, and questions are due November 10.
The selected operator will be responsible for improving coordination among employment and training programs, streamlining customer services and helping partners identify new approaches, including possible uses of artificial intelligence in career-service delivery.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, community organizations, colleges and universities, workforce intermediaries, private businesses and government agencies with relevant experience in coordination and strategic planning.
The initial contract is expected to begin July 1, 2027, and run for one year. SLATE said it may be renewed for two additional one-year periods, depending on performance and approval by the St. Louis Workforce Development Board. The city announcement does not state a contract ceiling, so applicants should rely on the full solicitation for pricing and scope requirements.
The opportunity matters to local employers and job seekers because the operator affects how multiple workforce programs connect people to training, placement and business recruitment services.
