CLAYTON, Mo. — Sababa, St. Louis’ Jewish Arts & Culture Festival, is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at South Central and Carondelet avenues in downtown Clayton.

The outdoor event combines contemporary Jewish music, visual art, food and family activities. The Jewish Community Center presents the festival in partnership with the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, and organizers welcome the broader community.

The announced performance schedule begins with Klezundheit at 11 a.m., followed by Elana Jagoda and Saul Kaye at 12:15 p.m. Yuval Raphael is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Lisa Loeb for 2:30 p.m. and Nissim Black for 4 p.m.

Organizers list more than 25 artists and makers, along with food vendors and activities including challah braiding, face painting and a bubble party.

Advance registration is encouraged through the festival website. Guests who have not registered beforehand may register on-site before entering, according to the event’s visitor information.

Street closures within the festival area will affect vehicle access. The Clayton MetroLink station, served by the Blue Line at 275 S. Central Ave., is a short walk away.

Visitors should review the event’s bag policy before arriving. Organizers also say personal chairs are not permitted and seating will be available on-site.

The festival website carries the current performance schedule, registration form and arrival details.
