ST. LOUIS — Family Care Health Centers has renewed its agreement with Missouri to provide WIC services for federal fiscal year 2027, keeping nutrition assistance available through three St. Louis locations.
The nonprofit announced the contract October 13. WIC serves eligible pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children younger than 5, combining food benefits with nutrition education, health screenings, breastfeeding support and referrals.
Family Care says applicants must meet income and nutritional-risk requirements. Its announcement sets the income limit at 185% of the federal poverty level. Enrollment staff can review a household’s circumstances and explain the application process.
The provider lists WIC clinics at 401 Holly Hills Ave. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 4352 Manchester Ave. Monday through Thursday; and 3824 S. Grand Blvd. on Tuesday and Friday. Listed clinic hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants receive an eWIC card to buy approved foods at participating retailers. Family Care’s nutrition program also offers breastfeeding education and support, including counselors who can discuss families’ feeding goals.
Residents can call 314-834-2273 for enrollment information and to confirm the appropriate clinic day before visiting. The renewal continues an existing program; applicants should arrange their own eligibility review rather than assume a clinic listing guarantees benefits or a same-day appointment.
