ST. LOUIS — The city’s Health Stop Testing and Referral Center offers free, confidential HIV and sexually transmitted infection testing at 1520 Market St., Suite 1625, on the building’s first floor.
The St. Louis Department of Health lists testing hours Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. The center closes for lunch, on Fridays and on city holidays.
Appointments and walk-ins are accepted, subject to availability. The city says identification is not required. Residents can call 314-657-1584 to ask about an appointment, the day’s capacity and the tests appropriate for their visit.
Health Stop’s own appointment page lists testing for HIV, hepatitis C, gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis. It also identifies limits: the center does not test for every infection, including herpes, HPV or trichomoniasis.
People seeking a specific test should confirm that service before traveling. The center’s listed testing services should not be read as a promise that every test is needed or available for every person.
The location is near the Civic Center MetroLink station and MetroBus connections, according to the city’s service information.
This is an access guide to an existing public-health service. Residents should use the current city and Health Stop pages to check hours and availability, particularly around holidays, and contact the center directly with individual testing questions.
