ST. LOUIS — Family Care Health Centers is providing Women, Infants and Children nutrition services at its Dutchtown facility, expanding a federal support program for eligible pregnant and postpartum people, infants and young children.
The WIC clinic is at 3824 S. Grand Blvd. Family Care’s published schedule lists service on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program can provide nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals and benefits for approved foods to people who meet income, residency and nutrition-risk requirements.
Applicants should contact the health center before visiting to confirm the current appointment process and required documents. Eligibility is determined by the WIC program; receiving another benefit does not automatically establish or prevent eligibility without a review. Families also should ask which clinic location can complete certification and whether remote steps are available.
The Dutchtown service creates another access point in south St. Louis for families who may face transportation, scheduling or cost barriers. It is part of Family Care Health Centers’ broader primary-care and nutrition work in the city.
Family Care announced the service through its Dutchtown WIC notice. Families can use the health center’s official contact information to verify hours before traveling.
