CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. — A 41-year-old man was booked into the Callaway County Jail on Wednesday, November 4, following a Boone County detention connected to a Callaway County warrant involving allegations of sexual offenses against children, according to official sheriff’s office records.
Keith Daniel Courtney was booked into Callaway County custody at 5:30 p.m., according to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office inmate record. The record lists seven charge entries: two for alleged statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy involving a person younger than 12, two for alleged enticement or attempted enticement of a child, one for alleged sexual misconduct involving a child younger than 15, one for alleged second-degree child molestation and one for allegedly resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony.
The sheriff’s office roster describes the child molestation entry as an aggravated sexual offense. These are allegations recorded in jail booking information, not convictions.
An earlier Boone County booking report shows Courtney was booked there at 12:24 p.m. Wednesday on an out-of-county warrant from Callaway County. It lists warrant number 26CWARW573 and case number 26CW-CR01350. The Boone County record states he was released to another agency. The later Callaway County booking is consistent with that transfer.
The underlying probable cause statement was not available for independent review when this report was prepared. The sheriff’s office booking entries do not establish the dates or circumstances of the alleged offenses, and no further details about any child involved are being published.
Official jail listings can change as court proceedings move forward. Courtney is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
