ST. LOUIS — Alltru Credit Union has relocated its downtown St. Louis branch to 2908 Market Street, near South Ewing Avenue, and is holding grand-opening activities through Saturday.
The branch officially opened October 27. Alltru said the move is intended to improve access to checking, savings and loan services for city residents. The credit union is certified as a Community Development Financial Institution, a federal designation for financial institutions that serve economically underserved communities.
A three-day public celebration runs through November 7 during regular branch hours, with refreshments, giveaways and an entry for a $1,000 prize. Visitors may also vote to direct a $2,000 Alltru donation to College Kids, Employment Connection or the MERS Goodwill Excel Center.
The relocation is a specific new investment in the Midtown area and keeps a branch presence inside the city. Alltru reports more than 40,500 members and more than $400 million in assets.
Credit-union membership, product terms and eligibility rules can vary. Consumers should review current fees, annual percentage rates and account requirements directly before opening an account or borrowing.
